The Sacred Shivling of Virat Ramayan Mandir

The Virat Ramayan Mandir complex in Kesariya, East Champaran, Bihar proudly houses what is now recognized as the world’s largest monolithic Shivling. Carved from a single block of black granite, this monumental Shivling stands as the centrepiece of the dedicated Shiva temple – the first among 18 shrines to near completion in this grand 120-acre project.

Installed on the auspicious day of Magh Krishna Chaturdashi (January 17, 2026), considered equivalent to Mahashivratri in significance, this Shivling symbolizes the eternal presence of Lord Shiva alongside Lord Shri Ram in the temple complex.
